Kinda pretty, but very shabby   2009-12-22

I was excited when I placed an order for this ring. I wanted a replacement for my own engagement ring that I have practically disfigured including but not limited to superglue and permanent marker, so this looked like a good choice. I was initially pleased with it at first glance because of the way it sparkled in the light, even though the stone was a little too big for my liking (about 2ct). However, upon closer inspection, one of the prongs was bent backward pretty far, but I couldn't bend it back, not because the prong was too strong, but because the primary stone was set horribly askew. Nothing I did short of a professional helping me out could reposition it. Noticing that flaw, I looked even closer and then noticed how "unfinished" the silver filigree looked. I saw that some of the holes that were supposed to be hollow were still not hollowed out, as though the manufacturers had skipped the detailing altogether, leaving raw and rough filing edges everywhere. The picture definitely looks better than the actual product, in my case.

I do have to compliment the ring I ordered. I have recieved several compliments on the ring. I did not have an engagement ring just my wedding band, so this worked out great. Several people have asked where it came from and are shocked at the price. I trully love sterling silver jewerly and cubic zirconia. I did order a size too large, but I put it behind my wedding back and it holds up just fine.
